The porch on the second level of the cottage spans the entire length of the cottage and offers magnificent views of Cow Rock. A large common area, complete with fireplace, is also located on this level, along with two additional bedrooms and baths.

Laurel Knob Cottage and The Cottages Rhodie Point are a group of only a handfull of properties in Lonesome Valley that have and unencumbered view of historical "Cow Rock" The "Cow" has been created over time by the natural forces of rain aganist the rock face that creates the image of a cow. It is said "Cow Rock" was named by the local Cherokee Indian tribes that would live in the Lonesome Valley box canyon for the summer months well before the early settlers moved into the area in the later 1700's. |
